Day 1: Port Elizabeth - Knysna 


You will be collected from your requested pick-up point in Port Elizabeth by your professional guide. The luxury 4-day tour starts off by heading towards the picturesque region of our Tsitsikamma Forest, a Coastal National Park leading to the scenic Storms River Village. Storms River is a scenic, powerful river that winds its way through the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range and into the Indian Ocean. Here you will enjoy a delicious and relaxing lunch, in a beautiful setting. After lunch, you will take part in the Storms River Mouth Bridge Trail, a short hike along the pristine coastline to the famous suspension bridge that runs over the mouth of Storms River. After leaving this Garden Route Wonder, we continue a short distance to the Big Tree, an awe-inspiring 800-year-old wonder, and enjoy a short walk through the shaded serenity of the Tsitsikamma Forest.  After this unique excursion, we make our way to Plettenberg Bay to stop at the famous lookout point for a picturesque panorama view of the most pristine beaches and possible dolphin sightings. Next, we head onto Knysna a natural paradise and one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Garden Route On arrival in Knysna you will be checked in at your luxury accommodation. Knysna is known for its world-class views. After checking in you will have some leisure time to enjoy views of the lagoon that stretches out to the Indian Ocean at a dramatic point between the towering twin peaks known as The Knysna Heads. In the heart of this scenic beauty is the Knysna Waterfront. After leisure time you have the opportunity to refresh in your accommodation before being escorted to dinner. Your guide will present you with various upmarket restaurant options.
(There is an optional activity you may wish to partake in - Knysna Elephant Park Tour where there are no fences allowing for an exhibition of an Elephant’s natural behaviour in a responsible and safe manner.)

Day 2: Knysna to Oudtshoorn 


After a delicious breakfast served in 5-star luxury, we make our way to the privately owned Featherbed Nature Reserve for a premier eco-experience. This outing includes a ferry cruise crossing the Knysna lagoon, you then enjoy an adventurous 4×4 vehicle drive finishing off with a guided 2,2 km nature walk. You’re your activities are completed you will be treated to a spectacular outdoor buffet food experience After lunch, we will continue the tour through the unique Lake District, then on to the Wilderness, known for the best and most pristine beaches along the Garden Route. Here we stop at the popular tourist attraction, The Dolphin Viewpoint where it is possible, but not always guaranteed to spot dolphins. Dolphin’s Point also gives a magnificent view of the untouched paradise of Wilderness beaches and beyond. Continuing the tour to the next destination of, Oudtshoorn, we travel over the Outeniqua Mountain Pass a two-lane tar road in excellent condition, where we stop to view the magnificent and breathtaking views it boasts. This is the perfect spot for photographs. On our way to Oudtshoorn “The Ostrich Capital of the World” we stop to visit an Ostrich Farm to take part in a guided tour to experience hand-feeding these flightless, fastest, and largest birds in South Africa. On arrival in Oudtshoorn you will be taken to your accommodation. Enjoy some leisure time before being escorted to dinner.

Day 3: Oudtshoorn to Hermanus  


After breakfast, you will be escorted by your guide to visit the famous Cango Caves. The Cango Caves is a cultural and natural landmark in South Africa and is in fact, South Africa’s oldest tourist attraction. It is an easy walk-through Heritage Tour with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites six large halls and continuing through to the "African Drum room". The chambers are illuminated, so you won't miss any of the natural beauty of the cave chambers. The tour is led by experienced, knowledgeable, and accredited cave guides and is approximately one hour in length. After this inimitable experience, you continue your journey to the town of Hermanus with rich breathtaking scenery, and unparalleled scenic beauty, modern infrastructure, upmarket shops, and endless adventure options you can choose to take part in or various shops to visit, beer or wine tasting. You will be staying at one of South Africa’s most spectacular seaside hotels. You will be escorted to your accommodation, sure to be a luxury hotel in a location suitable for whale watching most often directly from the comfort of the sea view bedrooms. (Please note that Whale viewing season is from July to November) Included in this package is a Spa Treatment per person, where skilled therapists will guide you in the selection of therapies most suited to reinstate balance and a sense of tranquillity. After your tranquil therapy, you are free to spend time at your leisure before getting ready for dinner. Your guide will suggest some upmarket restaurants to choose from.

Day 4: Hermanus to Cape Town

 
After your check out and delicious breakfast, you will embark onto the Mother City of Cape Town around the coast, traveling past beautiful bays such as False Bay which is arguably one of the most spectacular road trips in the world. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking: from the bright blue expanse of this Bay framed by dark, brooding mountains to the dramatic shoreline of Cape Point and Gordon’s Bay that promise unbeatable scenery. Gordon's Bay offers sunny, white sandy beaches lined with quaint seaside restaurants or shady milk-wood trees. Your luxury 4-day Garden Route Safari Tour ends on arrival in Cape Town. Your guide will drop you off at your choice of destination.
