CULTURAL TOWNSHIP TOUR (Full Day)

Here we learn about apartheid history and the developments of democracy. Next is a culture-filled township drive in Wells Estate, where you get to know about this community and its economy. We enjoy indigenous games and a unique children's township culture. After this entertainment, we visit an insect farming residence to find out more about a growing farming trend and its related developments. The next stop is Motherwell’s NU 2 Eskwerini Restaurant & Pub for traditional cuisine and refreshments followed by visiting the Mandela Peace Park with Isixhosa craft, women’s traditional attire and makeup, and much more. Last but not least, is the Motherwell Recycle Centre and Environmental Hub. This is a community project that goes back over two decades where trash is turned into art treasure. Learn how local founding women are passing on craft skills to the youth while educating them about the importance of recycling and upcycling.
